History
The Environmental Engineering Study Program of Hasanuddin University was opened on February 9, 2009 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 166/D/T/2009. The Environmental Engineering Study Program (PS-S1-TL) began operating in September 2009 with the Decree of operational permit Number 166/d/t/2009. In accordance with the status of the Hasanuddin University Statute, on August 2, 2017, its status changed to the Department of Environmental Engineering in accordance with the Rector’s Decree 21492/UN4.1/KL.06/2017 so that the status of the Head of the Environmental Engineering Study Program for the 2013-2018 period automatically changed to the Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering in accordance with the Rector’s Decree Number 21576/UN4.1/KP.15/2017. The change in status from a Study Program under the auspices of the Civil Engineering Department to an independent Environmental Engineering Department shows that the PS-S1-TL is adequate to manage the study program independently which is certainly supported by human resources who have increasingly developing competencies and expertise as well as excellent facilities and infrastructure resources. This is indicated by the Latest Accreditation Ranking (Value) which is A in accordance with the BAN-PT Decree Number 2085 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / S / VIII / 2018 as of August 1, 2018 to August 1, 2023.
The Environmental Engineering Masters Study Program at Hasanuddin University was established on July 24, 2019 based on the Decree issued by the Rector of Hasanuddin University Number 3877 / UN4.1 / KEP / 2019 and the Minimum Accreditation Decree from BAN PT with Number 36 / SK / BAN-PT / Min-Akred / M / VII / 2019. The Environmental Engineering Masters Study Program began accepting new students in the 2019/2020 Academic Year and was declared accredited with the Latest Accreditation Rating (Value) of Very Good in accordance with the BAN-PT Decree Number 1902/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/III/2022 effective from March 21, 2022 to March 21, 2027.
